OsClpP5 encodes a protein which share 92 % identity to the P5 subunit (AtClpP5) of the ATP-dependent caseinolytic protease from Arabidopsis[1]. Containing nine exons, OsClpP5 locates in pale-yellow-leaf–variegated (pyl-v) allele in chromosome 3(Figure 1)
