Annotated Information

Function

Map-based cloning found PSS1 gene encoding a driver-like protein of class1. PSS1 is a new drive protein 1 family members. It has very important significance to the dynamics of rice male meiosis chromosome and male gamete formation and pollen sac cracking.

Expression

PSS1 widely expressed in various organs, which express the most in the ear. In addition PSS1 expression was significantly raised in anther development, to the male meiosis reached its peak.
